Who are we and what do we do?
In the Nonlinear optics and wave propagation laboratory, we study a wide range of physical phenomena of waves. From sculpturing light during frequency conversion, through shaping propagating plasmons, and even manipulating electron beams and electron-matter-light interactions. Read more about our research in the "Research" tab above. The lab is run by Prof. Ady Arie.
The visit was in the framework of the newly established joint lab, “NOICE–Nonlinear optics for comb generation”, between Istituto Nazionale di Ottica of CNR and Tel Aviv University. The picture shows graduate students Zhigui Deng, Dror Weisman, Gary Rozenman and Sivan Trajtenberg-Mills together with Ambassador Benedetti.
Sivan received an excellence in teaching award for 2015 from the Sackler school of physics, TAU, for her work in management of Lab A physics course. She went to receive the prize with her newly-born daughter, Avigail.
